- Education Committee: Teach a beginning, intermediate or advance genealogy class
- Queries: Research and respond to requests for assistance received by the Society
- LHGS eBay Store: Help manage, create the online sales listings, research and price store items, package and ship goods sold
- LHGS Newsletter: Write an article or a regular column for the quarterly newsletter
- Fund Raising: Help setup or clean up afterwards, collect donations, make items

- Financial Planning / Audit / Budget - Help the society achieve some of it's goals
- Fundraising - Perhaps you have a knack for fundraising that could help the society improve the program
- Meeting and Event Planning - Share your ideas for programs at the meetings or other events
- Membership - Help maintain the membership database, staff the membership table at monthly meetings, help collect and record dues
- Publicity / Public Relations: Manage press releases about the Society, its activities and events; speak to a community group about the Society; Staff a booth for the Society at a local event
