How to submit to the Surname Project:
Only Society Members may submit to the Surname Project.
Members have several options for submitting their 5-generation Pedigree Charts.
- If genealogy is done via paper, member should make a photocopy of their most current pedigree chart and submit to the library for the Surname Project.
- If genealogy is done via computer, member could print a copy of their 5-generation pedigree chart with themselves as the primary person. NOTE: some members find printing two 5-generation charts, one with their father as the primary person and another with their mother as the primary person gives more information on their 5th generation. Only 5-generations will be inputted into the project.
- If genealogy is done via computer, member could export a GEDCOM from their database for their direct ancestors for "4" generations with themselves as the primary person. This will include you plus the next 4 generations of your ancestors. Submit your GEDCOM to the library at [email protected] with Surname Project as the subject. Make sure to include your name in the body of the email.
