Genealogy Education
The Lake Havasu Genealogical Society does provide information to assist family historians in their pursuit. The Society accomplishes this by offering a variety of options for building genealogy research knowledge and skill, including:
- Genealogy classes that are designed for a variety of research levels and emphasize best practices, from getting started to intermediate and advance level research and are often used as a refresher. Class size is limited and advance registration is required, refer to the LHGS Calendar of Events on this website for dates, times, costs and topcis.
- Monthly Meetings with guest lecturers on a variety of genealogy and family history topics
- Genealogy Software User Group
- Share Sessions are to assist members in learning genealogical techniques and websites. Members are encouraged to bring laptop computers to the sessions and more experience members are encouraged to share their knowledge.
